I growled into her neck, desperate to get us somewhere a hell of a lot more private. I guided her around the edge of the house until we were just out of earshot of anyone else. “I’m kidding, I couldn’t keep my hands off of you if my life depended on it.”
“I guess we need to start planning.” She hummed against my lips.
“Two weeks after your graduation. I want you to get that degree before we tie the knot. I made a promise to your mother, and I plan on keeping my word.”
“And then you’re gonna bring me back to this big-ass house and have your way with me for the rest of our lives?”
I nodded. “Glad you’re seeing things my way.”
She laughed, smacking me in the chest. I caught her wrist, attaching my lips to the underside at her delicate skin and sucking.
“Every day with you makes up for every one I spent without you.” I peppered more kisses along her knuckles. “I can’t wait to fill this big-ass house with laughter and love and babies, Leigh. I can’t wait to have it all with you. You look so good in my bed, in my life, in my heart—I knew from day one you belonged there.”
“Asher…” She was wiping at emotional tears, that big diamond lighting up her finger like she lit up my life.
“No more words, baby girl. You already said yes.” I pressed our foreheads together. “Now I can’t wait to get every fucker out of here who I begged to come up to witness this so I can get under this dress and show you how much you really mean to me.”
“Sounds promising,” she whispered.
“So help me it’s taking everything in me not to carry you up to the courthouse right now and make us official.”
“We’re as official as it gets, Asher. I’m still sore from this morning.” She beamed, recalling our kinky morning activities. “I’m not sure where the gentleman was this morning in the shower, but—”
I swatted at her ass cheeks. “Sassy, wicked little brat, tempting all the cum out of me already and you only just said yes.”
She moaned softly, the need coming off her in waves.
“I think you need a little reminder of Daddy’s limits.”
Her big eyes held mine, wide and innocent. “You don’t know what it does to me when you tease me about punishments…”
She was so turned on, I could see it in her hooded eyes, smell her arousal in the air. “How about we get a little jumpstart on the house tour, and I’ll show you the master bedroom now? That pussy is begging for me again.”
I licked my lips, ready to lick her top to bottom.
Leigh – One Year Later
“I can’t believe you’re getting married,” my mother said while arranging my veil. Her hands were shaking just like her voice, and I could see her holding back her tears. She moved me to look at myself in the mirror, and then her tears came bursting out.
“Mom, I’m getting married, not dying,” I said as we moved to the sofa. I took both her hands into mine, hoping it would comfort her.
“I know, and I’m happy for you, pumpkin. I really am. I see the way Asher looks at you. I know he loves you, but…” The word trailed off, and my mother looked away from me.
“But what?” I demanded.
“You’re just so grown-up. I thought I’d have a few years left before I gave you away,” she said softly.
“Mom.” I put my arms around her, bringing her in for a hug. “I will always be your little girl, and you’ll always be one of the most important people in my life. I’m not going anywhere. We live a fifteen-minute drive from your house. There will be Sunday dinners and holidays. I’m not going anywhere.”
My mom nodded, wiping the tears from her eyes.
“I know. Besides, soon enough you and Asher will have babies,” she said and then looked at me sternly. “Not too soon though. You still need to live a little, travel, get a good job. Don’t rush into babies. I know Asher is much older, but don’t let him pressure you into anything.” My mom held my gaze. “Promise me, Leigh.”
“Don’t worry, Mom. Asher doesn’t pressure me into anything. I know he can appear controlling, but he puts me before anyone and anything else. He’ll wait until I’m ready, but to tell you the truth…I’m ready now. I love Asher, and I can’t think of anything more amazing than having kids with him,” I said with a warm smile on my face. I thought about how kind, gentle, generous, and loving he was. I knew to the very fiber of my being that he would be the best father. Our kids would be beyond lucky.
“As long as it’s what you want,” my mother said again. “Now let’s go get you married.”
